Inc. and fully endorse their products in the UK. Hartwell Industries
Inc. is a leader in the production of Tungsten Carbide Grit and
powder from ½" (12.7mm) x 3/8" (9.5mm) down to
200 mesh. Hartwell is capable of producing clean sieved grit to
customer's size specification with low TiC/TaC to aid brazing.

This
grit can be used in automatic welding machines for such applications
as Hard Banding, Hard Facing and other Wear & Cutting
applications. Hartwell also produce Tube Metal which is a
mild steel rod containing Tungsten Carbide powder particles
for Acetylene, Electric and Atomic Hydrogen application. For
corrosion resistance, Stainless Steel rod can be used in place
of the Mild Steel. |

Business Services Limited stock and supply Hartwell Carbraze
material for application with an acetylene torch and is available
in two grades. Cutting grade rod uses larger, sharper chips
for destructive action on such applications as rotary shoes,
junk mills etc. Wear grade rod uses smaller grit for abrasion
resistance on stabiliser blades and other items with high
wear surfaces. These rods are available bare or flux coated. |

In addition
to Tungsten Carbide Grit, we can offer Tungsten Carbide Pellets.
These are most often used in Hardbanding when casing wear
is of concern. These spherical shaped pellets are manufactured
to meet specifications which require no protruding edges so
that casing wear can be minimised. |
Cast Tungsten
Carbide grit is available as an alternative to Sintered Carbide
Grit or Pellets. Cast Carbide is a very hard, abrasion resistant
material which is also very brittle. This product is available
in bulk for use in automatic hard facing machines.
Finally, Horse
Shoe rods, made from Tungsten Carbide and Brass can be supplied
in Fine, Medium and Course sizes and provide a very effective
wear resistance to wear areas of Horse Shoes.
